TrueSmile Health is privately owned and operated locally by Springfield-native Dr. Cyril Chou.
Do you treat adults and children?
Yes. TrueSmile Health welcomes adults and children. Our team provides general dental care designed to supportpatients through different stages of life.
Is your office accessible for patients with disabilities?
TrueSmile Health was designed with accessibility in mind. Office features include: • Convenient building access, parking, and walkways • A single-level layout with no stairs • Extra-wide doors and hallways If you need a specific accommodation, please contact us before your visit so our team can help.
What type of dental care do you provide?
TrueSmile Health is a general dental practice. Please visit our Services page for a current list of treatments, or contact our team if you have questions about a specific service.
What makes TrueSmile Health different?
We designed our clinical space to make dental visits feel comfortable, private, and efficient. Features include: • Comfortable, resort-inspired treatment suites • Enclosed treatment rooms for greater privacy • Design features intended to reduce distracting office noise • Natural and carefully designed lighting throughout the clinical space • Modern digital imaging, instruments, and dental technology These details support a calmer environment and help our team provide organized, personalized care.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit will be tailored to your dental needs and concerns. In general, our team will review your health and dental history, discuss your goals, complete the appropriate examination or imaging, and explain any recommended next steps. We will let you know in advance if your appointment requires special preparation.
Why might my appointment be shorter than at another dental office?
TrueSmile Health uses integrated digital tools and coordinated workflows that can reduce unnecessary steps in scheduling, imaging, documentation, and treatment. A shorter visit does not mean less attention to your care; appointment length depends on your individual needs and the services being provided.
Do you accept my dental insurance?
TrueSmile Health works with many dental insurance plans. Because network participation and benefits vary by plan, please contact our office or your insurance carrier before your visit to confirm network status, coverage, and estimated out-of-pocket costs.
What is the difference between accepting insurance and being in-network?
A dental office that accepts your insurance may be able to submit claims to your plan. An in-network office has a contract with the insurance company that generally includes negotiated fees for covered services. Your coverage and out-of-pocket costs still depend on your individual plan, deductible, annual maximum, and the treatment you receive.
What do “education” and “wellness” mean at TrueSmile Health?
We believe a healthy smile begins with a strong foundation in overall health. “Education” means giving patients clear information about oral health, prevention, and treatment options. “Wellness” reflects our recognition that oral health and overall health are connected
